Overview
About Me
Roots in the mountains but ironically current life in the tropics.
I'd describe myself as a rather laid back, chatty and optimistic fella.
I'm very curious and excited about new experiences, so as long as you're not looking for someone really quiet and reserved we should have a great time !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a practical and fun way to both meet new people AND not sleep under a bridge when you just arrived somewhere new. When I go somewhere new I'm all about meeting people, if possible around a beer !
Interests
Always had a particular interest for nature and ecology, as well as siences in general. Decided to make it my life, not disappointed yet !
I've been skiing as soon as I learnt how to walk, and it's probably my number one passion. Sadly, I've not been able to practice much the past 3 years, my life leading me further south every passing year.
I'm also a huge volleyball fan, definitely one the things I want to keep practicing forever.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much everything ! Grew up listening to AC/DC, Scorpions and Queens, now going through almost every genre : electro, chillstep, indie, metal, hip-hop,....
Regarding movies, I just can't get enough of Neill Blomkamp's style : be it District 9 or Chappy, he always knows how to stir up some emotions. Mastodonts such as "The Lord Of The Rings" or "Star Wars" are of course among my top tier. And many many more.
My favorite books ?
Without a second hesitation :
- "The Sword Of Truth" from Terry Goodkind
- "Les Thanatonautes" from Bernard Werber
- and many more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Around Christmas, climbed "le Piton des Neiges" (highest point in the entire Indian Ocean) and, after reaching the top, settled a camp and started preparing "foie gras" toast and red wine in front of the downing sun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to see more and more people from really "distant" cultures. I went through the western European type - I've lived almost my entire life like this-, so I'm really looking forward to meet people from places that differ completely : Asia, South America, Africa, etc...
What I Can Share with Hosts
If sharing my joy, curiosity and experiences isn't enough, a slice of pizza should seize the deal !
