COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some wonderful people in my home in Okinawa. I'm looking forward to surfing in the future!

Interests

I love exploring. I like to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, running, rock climbing, whatever. I want to see the world, and experience everything I can. I like pretending to be able to cook (and I'm getting better every day), and I spend far too much time on facebook. I love dancing, and talking with good friends.

They say that teachers are likely to revert to the age of their students. I don't think that I've full on regressed to middle school level immaturity, but I do have some of the same characteristics: I have a lot of energy. I'll almost always prefer moving to being sedentary.

When I am staying in one place, I spend a lot of time reading. I guess even when I am staying still I like to let my brain go to new places. I like having intellectual discussions over coffee with friends. I love learning new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching fireworks at night from the ocean for 海の日 (Ocean Day) in Okinawa. It was a clear night, the water was warm, and the fireworks went on for close to an hour.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach knitting, beginning Japanese, ballet, vegetarian cooking, piano.

I'd love to learn to draw or paint, and my guitar skills are seriously atrophied. I'd also love to get better at making curry!
