ABOUT ME
At the moment I study International Business in University of Applied Sciences. I have two years behind and two more to go. It has been fun but I am not sure if that is the field where I want to work for rest of my life but we'll see what the future brings. Originally I'm from Finland and last two years I've lived in Helsinki. At the moment I'm doing my Erasmus exchange in Berlin. First semester is almost done and after it it's time to travel again!
As a person I'm usually happy and you have to work pretty hard to get me mad. I like to meet new people and love to travel and eat and sleep. Propably my favourite thing in new cities or places is just to walk around with any real purpose. Just to see what's happening and maybe stop by in a cafe for a coffee or tea and then continue.
I also like to try new things and I'm pretty easily talked into to do something.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy life. It's delicious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed in Finland at my friend's couches alot but also in Russia (one night in Saint Petersburg and one night in Moscow). I had a great time with my hostes and they were really nice.
Interests
I like to do sports: swimming, running and skiing are my favorites.
I also like to hang out with my friends. Usually we go to movies, clubs or just to some cafe and have a cup of tea and talk.
I really like to try new foods and I'm ready to try anything new. You have to taste before you can say that you don't like it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like books but I'm really bad at reading them. I have probably ten books that I have started to read but haven't finished but maybe someday I'll finish them. Still my all time favourite books are Harry Potter books although I'm a old for them. I planned to start to read them in German so I can practice my German.
What comes to movies I like to watch all kind of movies. Good comedy like The Hangover or Ted. I also like musicals such as Burleque and Mamma Mia and the also horror such as Saw. One of my all time favourite film is The Shawshank Redemption.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tras-Siperian railroad
Still it is a bit hard to belive that me and my friend actaully did the railroad and that it was almost 3 years ago. The whole trip was almost an extemporee trip and when we left from Helsinki all we had was train tikects to Irkutsk and flight tickets from Bangkok back to Helsinki. But we made it and so far it is the best trip I've done so far.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've done volunteer work with an exchange student organization about 5 years and during that time I've learnt that the best way to learn a new culture is the people. I like to notice when the stereotypes that I have had of certain cultures collapse and I realize how wrong I have been and it's been also noticed how different people from the same culture can be.
Personally I also want to share some of my Finnish culture and hopefully break some stereotypes that you have towards us Finns and hopefully in a good way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
For me I try to find a host that seems nice and feels like we have something in common.
I guess I'm a bit typical Finn and for me it takes a bit time to warm up to a new person but after I've passed that stage I enjoy getting to know to the other person and learning new thing from him/her. I think I'm a good listener and enjoy talking with people.
