ABOUT ME

Percolating through my twenties trying to figure out the next step. I'm about to finish my 8 month contract teaching English in Spain, and while I've applied and formally accepted a second year placement in Madrid, I'm debating whether or not I'll return. Long-term goal is to be a proprietor of an awesome space. Somewhere that simply facilitates good, relaxed times. Maybe a bar or beautifully curated cafe, but more than likely, a hostel. And more than likely, in my homestate of Louisiana, with whom I have a love-hate relationship. Love the summer's afternoon thunderstorms, hate what it does to my hair. Love the diversity, hate its ugly origins. I'll be heading back for the summer, if you're around, I'd love to show you what Louisiana has to offer outside of New Orleans.

We'll do it live.

Despite all my experience traveling, I still fail to print my shit before I set out on adventure. Reservation numbers and hostel/host's addresses are often inaccessible in my dead cell phones. I've even lost my passport 48 hrs before international travel. But the truth is, it always works out. Or maybe I work it out because I'm resourceful. Either way, don't sweat the small stuff.

I'm back in the game after a 3 year hiatus that followed an uncomfortable CS experience. Still to be seen how I will participate! But I would love to host and to be hosted. Or at least to coffee and to be coffeed.
