About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn how to say 'peanuts' in as many languages as possible! cacahuetes, erdnusse, pindas, peanotter, botnim...
ABOUT ME
I am an optimistic person. I'm happy, outgoing, and get along with most everyone.
I rock climb, ski, hike, bike, play tennis, sail, and will try anything once.
I have been painting/drawing/sculpting for 10+ years and am always on the lookout for new techniques and media to try.
When I look outside I don't just see brown or gray, I see a rainbow of shades blending together to become those colors; white does not exist on my palette!
I also love to cook and bake. When I get bored, when I am upset, when I am happy--I bake something.
I am drawn to cities and will most definitely settle in a big city--I just have to find the right one first. My favorite thing to do is bike ride around the city and let the streets take me wherever they go. I might not know where I'll end up but I am sure to come home with a good story :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Be who you are and chip away at who you want to be." - Sadie Nardini
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Too many people rush through life. Pausing to help another person may mean the world to them and only a minor inconvenience to yourself.
Each day is a gift. Your time is finite, don't waste it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sharing stories, cooking food, and making my visits fun and easy for hosts.
Participating in events to meet local CSers.
Hosting other CSers. Showing them around the city, helping with travel arrangements, or just providing shelter for the night.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first time I Couchsurfed was in Christchurch, NZ. On my way home I stopped in Victoria, BC and surfed there with Josh.
I was in Europe for a month visiting friends, and I stopped in Galway and stayed with Fergal and his housemates--all great people. I still felt like I was visiting friends.
Stayed with a few CSers in the US as well, and attended Couchadelphia 2011! I recommend couchadelphia if you need an excuse to visit philly :P
I hosted some surfers in 2014 when I lived in Seattle. I'm glad I could help them out!
