Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Organizing a Public Utility and creating a chapter of the No Ivy League in Del Norte Co.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Southern California and went to school in Texas and California.
I welcome couch surfers and open to meeting people from various cultures. I am pretty busy with school work these days, but always have to help out a fellow traveler. I spent most of my life in Washington and continue to spend a lot of time in this region. I am a non-smoker and keep conventional hours. Hit me up to see if I am in town. I do require people to email me a copy of their password, and a minimum of 3 references, where at least one of those are in the US, as a condition of staying at my place.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat other people as I would like to be treated. Always offer to help someone when asked.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to network and meetup, with the local activities groups. I am always open for visiting a movie, a museum, and to see other sites.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have moved my couch and travel availability to coucher.com, bewelcome.org, and trustroots.org
As a result, I will no longer be monitoring couchsurfing.com in the near future so feel free to HMU on one of those sites.
I am looking forward to visiting the UK, Costa Rica, China, Singapore, Cern, Switzerland, and Bangalore, India, and Israel.
Interests
Web Development, Astronomy, Green Technologies.
Music, Movies, and Books
My interest in movies and books is pretty varied, but generally don't like movies that are too gorry. I like songs from the Rock Group called the Super Tramps. In addition, I like Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto 3, Mendelson's Boat Song and a wide variety of Rock'n Roll.
Some of the interesting books I have read recently are: The Late Great United States, Blogger's Manifesto, Lies My Teacher Told Me, Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Stranger, Marx in Soho, Central Asia's Second Chance, Coders at Work, The Temptations of Tyranny in Central Asia, Life After The Soviet Union, The Dust Of Empire, ancient Astronomers, The Voyaging Stars, Traditional Micronesian Societies, Sailing in the Wake of the Ancestors.
Movies I like are: 1) The Dark Crystal
2) Return of the Jedi
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited Montreal Quebec and took a train across Canada. Montreal was a great city for me. Truly a great city to visit. I was impressed by the subway system and the amount and availability of low cost concerts to go to.
Teach, Learn, Share
I take out time once in awhile to help guests and hosts use the board. I am not officially an Ambassador, but want to be helpful to people when I see a situation that I can address.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Local activities, sites and places to see in Silicon Valley. I am probably available for coffee or meeting up.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Israel, Mexico
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
