About Me
iMpt: our exchange semester in Aachen, Germany has ended. We are now back in Singapore to continue our studies. We are so sorry that we could not host people any more. If time permits, we are able to show you around our university and Singapore:)
Thanks to a nice host in Cologne, we spent three awesome days there. That's how we began to know each other more and fell in love with each other:)
ABOUT US
He: My full name is "Ma Cong". You can call me Ma or Cong or Ma Cong. Humorous and adventurous person, who likes to do sports (especially bicycle). My current goal is to travel to Europe as much as possible with bicycle, especially the Netherlands and Germany!)
She: My full name is "Xu Shaoqing". You can call me Qing or shocking (which sounds really similar to Shaoqing). I simply laugh too much all the time every day, as a sad day is a day, a happy day is also a day, why not make every day a happy one!
He is 24 years old, she is (forever21 + 2 =) 23 years old. We have spent 2/3 of our life in Mainland China, and the other 1/3 in Singapore so far (data is still changing every year, lol). We love to meet new friends, explore new places with local people, do what the locals do and embrace the unknown.
(PS: We will definitely write you a reference, just that we don't want to rush it)
PHILOSOPHY
No matter what happens, life is full of joys and laughters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To us, travel is a time to know different people and different cultures. We love hearing stories from others. On top of that, we would like to be locals on that day and do what the locals do. Meanwhile, We could share what we have experienced to others. We really love to bring you a mind travelling! The pleasure of sharing with others or helping others is what we enjoyed as well. Couchsurfing allows one to do that much more easily. That's why, we are here, on Couchsurfing.
Interests
He: cycling (As for now, I plan to travel to every parts of Netherlands with my bicycle. Huge project, I know right!), language (I practice those I am learning whenever there is a chance.), collecting FREE souvenirs from the Tourist Info Center while travelling, badminton, jogging, cooking with recipes from hosts I met on CouchSurfing then eating!
She: music is part of my life! I can play guzheng and zhongruan (traditional Chinese instruments) and also harmonica. Travelling and meeting different people. Singing Doraemon Theme song (my bf always calls me "blue fatty"), and mixing from whatever is in the fridge (though without a proper recipe, I know which vegetables can be mixed together for good taste) then eating!

Music, Movies, and Books
For music, we don't have a particular genre. Classic, K-pop, Chinese, English and etc are all our favourite.
For movies, though I am not a child anymore, I actually like animated movies A LOT!!! They do bring me a lot of laughters. Whenever there is an animated movie on show in the cinema, I will be there to have fun and laugh like a child. As for the favorite movie, it is Monster University! I really like Mike Wazowski a lot!!
For book, my favorite is "Fluent in Three Months". This book inspired me learning languages. It also changed me from an introvert to an outgoing person, willing to discover the unknown instead of fearing. I have recommended this book to many people.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
He: Cycling to Rotterdam from Aachen twice already :P
She: Scuba diving without a diving license, and almost "died" in the water
