About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to experience the world as fully as possible and I want to share that experience with friends, family, and whoever I meet in my travels.

ABOUT ME

By day I'm a software developer; by night I'm a physics tutor, friend, masseuse, magician, pool player, or whatever else the moment calls for. I travel when and where I can and I'll travel with almost anyone that will go with me. I believe that we find enjoyment in life by following our passions and experiencing and learning as much as we can along the way. I keep moving forward even when I'm reminiscing over the past. I feel that who you spend your time with is far more important than where you're at but where you're at can make who you're with all the more exciting. And most importantly I'm here, wherever here may be. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about experiences, education, and the people you choose to share it with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a member of the couchsurfing community for a while but I haven't made much use of the tools made available until recently. I'm changing that and I'm contacting people as I go along. I am also contacting the people that make this community possible to see about doing software developer for them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just started reaching out to the couchsurfing community. So far the response has been positive and I suspect that will continue.

Interests

I like traveling, of course. :) But beyond that I'm a programmer by profession so programming is something I have a passion for. I also enjoy doing magic, both close-up and stage performance, fencing, swimming, cycling, learning new languages (starting with Spanish) and I just started taking ballroom dancing lessons.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost any kind of music but since I started taking dancing lessons I've been listening to a lot of swing music. I'm not a huge movie person but when I am watching one it's usually a comedy or a horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent New Year's Eve in Dublin. As the clock was getting ready to strike midnight it started snowing and it was the first blue-moon in December in Dublin in over 300 years.

Teach, Learn, Share

During the day I'm a software developer; in my off-hours I'm a physics and math tutor and an amateur magician. I enjoy teaching and helping with any of those subjects. I can also pack more stuff into a tighter space than should ever be allowed. If you are in need of help with any of these topics I can at least point you in the right direction.
