I'm clean and quiet and very appreciative of any hospitality offered to me. I'm a vegetarian, but I eat everything otherwise. I tend to sleep in past 9 if I can get away with it, but can get up and out when I need to. With my non-cycling life, I am a filmmaker and writer. I also tutor kids in math and science in my spare time.

I'm not currently in a home that can offer space for other people to stay, but will definitely open up my home when that becomes a possibility.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a long-distance cyclist for about 15 years, mostly camping for a day or two. I'm hoping to do some longer trips and am thinking I might want an occasional couch and hot shower to replenish.

Music, Movies, and Books

The most perfect film I have ever seen is Richard III (1995) starring Ian McKellen. I don't watch it often, because I like to give it my full attention. The semi-modernization is fun, and does make it somewhat more relatable, but it's the performances which really make this version stand out. It's one of those rare Shakespearian adaptations that never makes you feel lost in the language.
