ABOUT ME

I am a reckless free spirit with some odd hang-ups on being sociable. I love to haunt coffee shops and libraries because two of my favorite things in the world are coffee and books. I devote more time and energy to blogging than school, though I absolutely adore my major. And I rather like owls.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I feel so small and I hate that. One of the ways I want to expand my world is by connecting with others-people with different views and lives and beliefs and hopes and dreams and all that junk that makes a soul beautiful. I want to share in that, in any way I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No real experience, though I have slept on plenty of couches. I usually knew the person and it was more a matter of laziness than necessity.

Movies - the Bourne trilogy, the Italian Job, Stardust, Sahara, Batman Begins and Dark Knight, the Count of Monte Cristo, Emma, Martian Child, and August Rush.
Music - McFly rocks my universe. And there is also James Morrison, Mads Langer, Sara Bareillas, the All-American Rejects, Paramore, We the Kings, the Hush Sound, Adele, Boys Like Girls, Barcelona, Kate Walsh, and Jon McLaughlin.
Books - the Book Thief, Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia, Republic, the Iliad, No-Man's Land, Persuasion, Blue Like Jazz and the Irresistible Revolution.

Jumped off a 60 foot cliff, free fall, into a lake below. That puts your life into perspective real quick!

CAUTION! My roommate refers to me as a "Greek Geek" and if you make even a slight allusion to any bit of Greek literature or mythology, I might talk you into a coma. You have been warned. If you would like to hear those stories, I would be more than thrilled to share them with you. And also, subjects such as TOMS or Invisible Children or soul-sucking corporations might earn you a deep, intense conversation as well. And I would like to learn EVERYTHING! (except political science...the electoral college system will never make sense to me) but everything else is fair game.
