About Me
Getting to know new places through the generosity of Couchsurfing hosts, Workaways, and new friends!
Currently visiting friends across Europe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I stumbled into the Couchsurfing community purely by happenstance… An AirBnB host invited me to a Couchsurfing meet up my first night in Santiago, and I was immediately hooked! The enormous generosity of everyone I've hosted and stayed with, their enthusiasm for connecting with fellow travelers and helping them plug into the local community… It's an experience so much superior to that of any other type of accommodation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekked to Everest Base Camp (the Tibet side)... in the middle of winter and going against orders from the Chinese military posted in the nearby town. It was five-pairs-of-pants kind of cold!
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught English online for many years, so I'd be glad to help you learn if English is your second language (and would be grateful for some Spanish practice in return!)
I taught piano for ten years, so if you're looking to learn a bit or spend a fun evening just improvising, I'd love to play!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laid-back evenings spent swapping stories over a glass of wine have been my favorite Couchsurfing experiences, so I'm happy to bring a bottle if you're up for it.
I also enjoy cooking with friends and would be happy to make a meal to share.
