ABOUT ME

Hola! My name is Connie. I am 24 and live in Miami, FL. I am American and Sorta Rican (that's sort-of-Puerto Rican cause I don't have too many Puerto Rican qualities or even really speak Spanish but I'm definitely Puerto Rican blooded and speak Miami Spanglish). I'm to myself at first but when I get comfortable I'm very silly and fun and can be very sarcastic.

I'm not good at knowing the culture anywhere I am as far as what's considered rude or polite, so please don't be offended by anything I say or do, just let me know that where we are, that is not polite and I will get very embarrassed and fix the situation immediately. I like making friends and talking to people so if you're down, I would love to hangout with and become friends with anyone I stay with. I travel to learn more about different cultures so I will spend most of my days out and about trying to meet people and see as many sights as I can. Nothing is free in this world though, so I will also be trying to work a little to make some money to further my adventures anywhere I am.

PHILOSOPHY

The only thing holding any of us back is ourselves. Money, family, work, none of these should be used as an excuse to not do exactly what you want to do with your life. It's YOUR life, no one else's. I never want to come towards the end of my life saying "I wish I would have . . ." I want to be able to say "I'm so glad I did . . ."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently focused on traveling and couchsurfing is my main resource for meeting people and finding a place to stay. When I'm home in Miami, I love going to couchsurfing events and meeting people from all over and I'm always happy to host as long as you're not creepy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love CS!! I just finished backpacking through South America and my trip wouldn't have been the same without Couchsurfing! I have met so many brilliant people who have helped me with seeing the sights, learning Spanish, telling me where not to go, telling me how to get around, and making lifelong friendships. :)

My favorite color is neon green (and basically all neon colors, but especially green), I'm addicted to desserts and sweets, especially ice cream. I'm a budding foodie so I'm learning how to eat and try new foods from everywhere but so far I really love most things except onions and cilantro. I'm also huge on seeing art, film, and theatre so anywhere I visit that will be top on my list. I do like a good drink, so I will be looking for nightlife and drinking spots anywhere I go.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm an actress, graduated Class of 2014 with BFA (Bachelor's in Fine Arts) in Acting so I love theater and movies. I could talk about actors and movies and plays forever and I LOVE new suggestions, especially foreign films. I like indie music , hip hop, and rap the most. My favorites are MIKA, Kanye West, and Childish Gambino.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

September thru December in 2014 I bought a one-way ticket and went solo backpacking through South America and made it to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The experience of backpacking alone and staying with couchsurfers in a foreign continent that welcomed me with open arms changed my life. I now want nothing more than to see the world one country at a time.
