About Me
We are Connie and Steve! As of July 2016, We live in Taipei, Taiwan. As a couple, we have lived in Durham, NC and Chicago, IL in the US. In 2013-2014, we made an epic circumnavacation around the world, starting from Chicago, where we lived for 7 (Connie) and 8 (Steve) years respectively. We visited eleven different countries and over thirty-five cities! It was the best time, and we were very happy to meet many Couchsurfers during our trip. In our daily lives, Connie works in the social sciences, and Steve is a software programmer.
We are curious, adventurous, but above all, easygoing travelers. Connie loves taking photos and documenting our experiences; Steve likes to take in bits of local culture. We can be as fascinated equally by a temple or a department store in a foreign country. Our best travel experiences have included the homes of locals who are generous enough to share their home cooking with us, underground arcades where teenagers have beaten us at amazing games, and of course night markets where we drift about trying as many things as we can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of our best friends, a Couchsurfing convert and evangelist, convinced us to sign up just by describing her awesome adventures. Since then, we've met a lot of interesting people, tried things we never thought we would try, and been treated to the hospitality and enthusiasm of strangers in Asia and Europe. That's the magic of Couchsurfing!
