About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My goal in life is to be happy 24/7 and surround myself with fun, happy people.
ABOUT ME
If asked, my best friends would say that I am fun, adventurous, uplifting, inquisitive, always learning and know people from all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to be unhappy for one minute. If I find I'm feeling sad, depressed, angry, critical, or negative in anyway, I simply change my thought because happiness is a state of mind. It's easy to do: I live in San Diego, the sun shines every day! I just look at the sky and am so grateful I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful blue sky everyday! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I like to host. In the future I'll probably look for a host with a flat driveway. I have a Toyota van without back seats and have it set up with a bed. That way I can travel and sleep in my own bed where ever I go. I usually drive across the country every 2-3 years and plan to do it again in 2013. But right now I'm in love with San Diego!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I can't tell you how ecstatic I am with everything about cs. I began only to help a friend who wants to live in Italy for a year. (Why is it that when I try to help someone else, it always leads me into something that helps me?) Everyone I talk with has been fascinating and has had a positive experience! I don't know enough superlatives to extoll it's virtues!
Interests
I volunteer at the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, whale watching boats, and San Diego Natural History Museum. I love to dance: ballroom, country, Latin, contra. I swim almost every day. My boy friend and I like to travel, camp, and go out in his boat. We end the day by watching the fire works at Sea World (I live only 2 miles away). I also love to read, watch Netflix, walk, be out in nature, explore, and be with friends and family. And I'm always up for a "new adventure"!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read, but I'm dyslexic. My boyfriend can't understand why I love to read so much since it used to be such a problem. It's easy. I simply read 5 times slower than anyone else, but perhaps I enjoy it 5 times more? I'll read anything that interests me at the moment... so I'm fickle. At the moment it is history, nature, and historical fiction. I am currently listening to ballroom dancing music or podcasts through an ipod shuffle attached to my goggles when swimming. I don't have tv, but love to watch Netflix or FREE TV streamed from my computer to the television screen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have traveled the world: camped in Africa, worked in Pakistan & Guam, trekked in New Zealand, dived in Palau... I was amazed when I watched butterfly and frog eggs hatch under a microscope, tracked their development and realized each one had a different personality from birth to adult.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being dyslexic means you think differently and learn differently than anyone else. It's a gift. It has made me very successful -- once I survived the trauma of public school. When you fail a lot as a kid, you realize failure is a gift you give yourself because you learn more from failure than you do from success.
