ABOUT ME

Connie - I just graduated college with a degree in film and I plan on not using it. After seeing all of the glory the US has to offer, I plan on finding a mediocre, but well paying, job hopefully in publishing. After working there for several months, I'll ditch it and travel.

Erte' - I'm headed to New York to start my graduate work in fine art at the Pratt Institute. I play bass guitar; formerly for a rock band. Photography is my primary medium for art, but I love to work with my hands and make things from raw materials. I have an insatiable passion for food and cooking. I also have a passion for urban bicycling which balances my love for food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As hosts, we want to do everything we can for travelers: Food, transportation, tours, etc. But most importantly: Hang out, have fun, get to know people. This way we create meaningful relationships, gain a fresh look at life and the world, have a place to stay somewhere else, and hopefully reinforce a community based on trust and free hospitality where there is nothing to gain and nothing to lose but eachother.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My worst couchsurfing experience and part of the reason I like this whole idea: I went to Oxford, England to see some friends who were studying there and living with host families. One family agreed to take have me stay on the couch. In the morning, they changed their tune and charged me 30 pounds for the night I spent. Of course I paid it, but I was already low on dough and even worse off then.
