ABOUT ME

My name's Connie. I'm an American who is currently studying in Orleans, France for one semester. It is my first time in Europe and it has opened my eyes. It has given me a greater appreciation for what is out there in the world, and I plan on visiting it.
I am a student at UTD studying psychology and minoring in Political Science. I held two jobs before I moved to France, one waitressing at a German restaurant and the second at a retail store.
I am an avid fan of music and have been a DJ at my radio station at UTD and go on air in France as well in the campus radio station.
I'm easy going.

Now I am a masters grad this coming May and moving to LA.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to stay happy and be a good person.
I take care not to have regrets and try to make the most of my situation.
I shoot for the highest and I have ambition.
Not religious.
I'm not terribly emotional.

I have started this profile because I am currently studying abroad and have heard many good things about couchsurfing from friends who have tried this out. I am always willing to travel and try new experiences.

Couchsurfing was very nice. I got to couch surf in Paris, Marseille, Nice, Vienna, Bratislava, Hungary, Prague, Munich, ...etc very wonderful community!

Interests

Quite interested in music. I stay updated with the new releases and have participated in radio and am participating in radio. It is mostly independent music, American, English.

I like to read.
and write in my moleskin.
I am a fan of Apple products.
I like movies such as Inglorious Basterds: Quentin Tarantino, Danny Boyle, Guy Ritchie, the Coen Brothers, Sex and Lucia, Paris Je t'aime, City of God, Vanilla Sky, Amelie...etc
My TV shows I like: SNL, The Office, 30 Rock, Mad Men, South Park, Little Britain

Books of late that I've read, a lot of Hemingway: For whom the Bell tolls, The Sun also rises, A farewell to Arms, 1984 by George Orwell. I like The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Stranger by Albert Camus. Venus in Furs...etc

Music: The faint, Animal Collective, The Arcade Fire, Clap your Hands say Yeah, Fleet Foxes, Rosebuds,Fujiya and Miyagi, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, Grizzly Bear...etc
