Overview
About Me
I'm a marine biologist with a deep love for wildlife, nature, and exploring our planet and its people.
I recently started graduate school in East Lansing, Michigan for my Masters in Fisheries and Wildlife, so I’m pretty busy. Despite that, if anyone is in need of a place and finds themselves in Lansing, I can hardly turn them down after the many times others have helped me out of a tight spot!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel in a way that connects me with people and let's me experience a place more deeply (and cheaply).
Interests
Scuba diving, fishing, surfing, hiking, dancing, drinking, cooking, sustainability and healthy living. I love finding things off the beaten path, meeting new people, and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Funk, electronic, blues, hip hop; indie Sci-fi, westerns, anything with Daniel Day Lewis; any book I can get my hands on, but I love classic science-fiction (Asimov, Clarke, Heinlen, Dick). I like to think I’ve read a very wide selection of literature, but I’m always getting great recommendations about books I’ve never heard of!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I survived a 70 knot ice storm on a 30 meter fishing boat in the seas between Russia and Alaska.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm very interested in learning languages, cooking, and great places to hike and explore. I can teach you how to drink, curse, and tie knots like an Alaskan fisherman.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a good story and a good time. I’m also awfully good at doing dishes.
Countries I’ve Visited
