About Me
My ultimate goal in life is to shape this world into a better place, whether that means inspiring someone else to create or driving change myself only time will tell.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couchsurf so that I can meet the true people that live in the places I am travelling in. There is a difference between travel and tourism; I prefer to interact with locals, experience the less explored areas, and most of all expose myself to new events. I prefer a journey to a vacation.
I also believe whole heartedly in the Law of Attraction; just as positivity breeds positivity, our lives naturally gravitate to those who will be most beneficial in adapting our life perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
There is a kind of music for every time of the day: Bon Iver, Bombay Bicycle Club, or Andy Mckee in the morning; Kings of Leon and Volcano Choir before Lunch; Some Mos Def and Roots in the afternoon; Frank Ocean and Bonobo before dinner; James blake in the Evening; Robert Glasper, Roy Hardgrove and maybe some Orchestral music when the sun sets. For me, music must transition with the atmosphere.
My favourite writers are Aldous Huxley, Allistar Macleod, Margaret Atwood
My favourite poets are: Rumi, Charles Bukowski, and Kahil Gibran
My favourite movies are: Donnie Darko, Requiem for a Dream, Waking Life, One Week
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I hitchhiked from Toronto to Vancouver in the dead of winter without a winter jacket. My brother and I then decided to buy a junk car and pursue a story on the Northern Gateway Pipeline, we drove back East to For McMurray to interview oil executives, tour the refineries, and arranged a free flight over the Tar Sands. We slept in the car and used a pile of sweaters to keep us warm. On the way back west, we met with Native, political and environmental activists finding out their side of the story and listening to the things that none of the major newspapers seemed to be talking about. We followed the route of the proposed pipeline, eventually landing in Kitimat, B.C where we interviewed the President of Coastal First nations, and a few political ministers for British Columbia. Finally we found ourselves in Haida Gwaii and took a boat ride to capture the amazing wildlife that thrives in these waters who were threatened by tanker traffic.
...... Did I mention we did this on an absolute whim with ZERO experience?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play guitar, how to do a handstand, and if you have the guts I can show you how to do a backflip or maybe you will learn a few things in our conversations- I know I probably will. If there is one thing I have learned in life it is that everything is a learning opportunity. When you look into the eyes of a stranger you can always find a piece of yourself, and through this ideal I learn more about myself each day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a lifetime of stories, great conversation, open ears and an open mind,
I can make one hell of a stir fry and am always willing to help out around the house.
