Overview
About Me
Just graduated from college with my electrical engineering degree, and I work as an consultant in the energy industry. I grew up on a farm in Iowa, USA raising corn, soybeans, goats, and chickens, but I've bounced back and forth for the past couple years between Kansas City and Los Angeles.
Passionate about running, basketball, meteorology, protecting nature, and entrepreneurship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love people. Old, young, rich, poor, shy, outgoing, crazy, relaxed... everyone has a story to tell, and listening to and learning those stories gives me more fulfillment in life than any of my other passions or hobbies ever could.
This world is built on human connections. I've stayed with friends, family, hotels, and hostels in my travels, but there is no way of travel that can generate the human connections that Couchsurfing can. Many of my favorite memories from my past trips haven't been the sights or the food but the PEOPLE I've met.
There is something beautifully addicting about meeting a new person in a new city as a stranger and becoming best friends just 24 hours later, and I'm definitely an addict which I why I choose to surf whenever I possibly can :)

Teach, Learn, Share
My life's goal is to to engineer the cities of the future by making them as clean and smart as possible. I could talk for hours about this, and I'm curious to hear any ideas you have :)
I can also teach you about agriculture from my childhood on a farm and the journey that food takes from the field to your table.
I play a lot of basketball, so I'd love to teach you some moves if you're interested.
I always love learning about local politics too!
