About Me
Travelling and couch-surfing with my friend Phoebe, who is also 31 and from the UK. We are on the hunt for a job in Newcastle and looking for a place to crash whilst we find our feet. We've been friends for over 20 years and are always keen to meet new people and have a laugh - we let our hair down by regular trips to the pub, reading, playing boardgames and beaching!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We're new to couchsurfing so we hope some of you lovely people will help us find our feet here. We've taken the opportunity to book a one way ticket to travel Australia and S/E Asia and we plan to work, volunteer, and meet incredible people along the way. We have friends living all over Aus but I'd love to be able to meet new people, have fun experiences with locals, and we'd love to be able to leave a lasting impression that makes you feel good for hosting on this app. Maybe one day the roles will be reversed and we'll be the ones hosting a like-minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both have a very varied taste in music from Indie to Disney and Disco to Nu Metal
Phoebe likes to read murder-mystery books or romantasy and I like a bit of everything, although my go-to genre is probably fantasy.
I like war-films, rom-coms and a good old comedy. Phoebe describes herself as a film fanatic but still hasn't seen most cult classics - her favourite genre would be 'so bad that it's good' romcoms.
