About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting settled in a new place with a new job!
ABOUT ME
I'm quiet until I warm up to you, unless you're one of those irritating (i.e. wonderful) people who can break down all barriers in a single conversation in which case we'll be friends forever.
I love "slow sports" (as I call them) hiking, SCUBA. You can enjoy nature and introspection without distraction.
PHILOSOPHY
I hope I'm not be the smartest person in the room, because that means there's nothing left to learn.
The quote I live by is "Smile, it kills time between disasters." -Kermit the Frog
I don't have a ton of friends, but those I do are worth being friends with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to travel and explore the world outside the clinical nature of hotels and tourist traps. Doesn't make for much of a story when you get a good nights sleep with nice fluffy pillows instead of dealing with a strange "bro" at a hostel who wants to sell you ganja at noon then you hear him at 1 in the morning shouting "brudda! Want some ganja" followed by the sounds of police sirens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Was part of Cornell's Blind Wine Tasting Society and had the opportunity to compete in Challenge Agro Vino Tech (CAVI'T) in Reims, France. It was a three part competition of blind tasting sparkling, white, and red wines along with various technical questions on viticulture and winemaking.
We placed top ten...
Let me tell you when you phrase it like that, very few people ask how many teams there were. There were 8.
We got our asses handed to us, but it was a phenomenal experience and I learned a ton.
