ABOUT ME
hmm.. I'm a little (ok, a lot) shy, I'm friendly though and happy to chat once I get to know a person. I love travelling and seeing new things, I enjoy the small and quirky details on a trip and definately enjoy the journey as much as the destination. I dont smoke or drink (aside from an occasional beer), dont do drugs, just try to live a happy life.
I'm a transguy and am just learning to walk around in the world as a man, it's challenging and exciting and I have no problem talking about it or answering any (respectful) questions a host may have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm happy to host, we have a small spare room with a single bed. We're not right in town and the public transport is a bit sketchy here... though saying that I'm in Edinburgh frequently and can do lifts to the nearest city bus stop. We have a dog, a very friendly, very large and sometimes bouncy dog who will love you very much.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
couchsurfed in Seattle, but that was my first time surfing. Hosted lots though through other websites for travellers (globalfreeloaders, helpex) and loved it.
Interests
I'm an artisan baker, currently unemployed but hoping to be back in work soon. I love sourdough hearth breads, yeasted breads and all kinds of baking. I enjoy listening to music, going to the gym and reading. I am a book hoarder and find it hard to part with even one.
I love stickers on lamposts, graffiti and found objects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Giving birth, but that's a bit of a given, seeing that little stranger for the first time was amazing. For the longest time I thought she had stars reflecting in her eyes, she just looked like she had come to me from a long way off.
Watching the moon rise over the bakery I worked at while listening to the bread crackling as it cools.
Bread, bread is amazing, it brings people and stories and cultures together, draws out emotional connections and grounds us. It is elemental and soulful and completely neccesary while being absolutely beautiful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm way more than happy to share some sourdough starter and show you how to use it, my personal favourite is a 100% sourdough rye that is tangy and amazing and makes breakfast a better place to be. rye bread + marmalade = warm and fuzzy.
