About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To never be complacent.

ABOUT ME

I'm very level-headed, which may sound like a lame thing to say, but it's true, and I believe a strong suit of mine. I'm generally on the quiet side, but very much enjoy a good conversation. While music and urban planning are two of my greatest passions, I am currently building a career in the San Francisco Bay Area's medical device industry.

PHILOSOPHY

A few words that could hint at my personal philosophy: pragmatism, science, probability, and compassion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I initially joined CS to find hosts in Japan, which was absolutely incredible. Now that I have my own place, I've enjoyed playing the other role in the CS Community. Welcoming all you beautiful people into my home lets me sate some of that craving for travel and new experiences endemic of the couchsurfer right in my own living room!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences with couchsurfing are unparalleled. From my first two hosts in Japan to my latest surfers in Santa Rosa, there is an element of genuine, open, kindness that primes any two people to click from the first "Hello!"

Interests

Listening to music, playing music, sharing music, travel, urban planning/design, cooking knefla soup and enchiladas (and more of course), making bubbles (especially giant bubbles), snowboarding, being outside, hiking, camping... skateboarding, biking, sipping beer, pouring over maps (not the beer)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived a five day backpacking trip through Yosemite where on the third night we got caught in a snowstorm on the north side of Red Peak Pass at 10,500' as the sun went down.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of giant bubble juice recipes, among other things.
