About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'll have 18 days to see Thailand on a shoestring between the end of my semester and my return flight home (April 1st-18th). I will begin teaching in Taiwan in June.

ABOUT ME

I'm laid back, I like a laugh and joke around a lot. I speak Spanish at a conversational level. I speak Thai at a can-make-thai-people-giggle-at-the-attempt level. I usually carry around a guitar and I love to play music with people.

PHILOSOPHY

Great pontificator. Crumbles under scrutiny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I still haven't found my self in a position to host, which I've always wanted to do, so I've been a surfer and an attender-of-events. I hope to utilize couch surfing to have a sweet last 18 days in Thailand without going home super broke and like doing chores for the moms to buy my ticket to Taiwan.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing and events.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh man, I'm a serious reader. I get all pumped about good literature, music and film so I'll just leave it at that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once shared a wave with a penguin while surfing. I can't even surf, but in that two-second window between clumsily standing up on the board and tumbling back off again, I looked over and saw it a few meters away in the wave. My shouts of excitement were soon drowned by the sea as the board shot out from under me and I returned back to the icy water from whence I clambered, but I was content. I mean, how many people get to check that box, yeah?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help teach English, basic Spanish, I have been a guitar teacher in the past, my degree encompasses politics, history and economics, and I worked as a writing tutor throughout college.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, clean, teach/discuss the things listed above, and hopefully share some laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, England, Thailand, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
