Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I recently spent 2 out of the last 3 years away from home, couch surfing most of the time and I have hosted a fair amount in the past few years, though have not officially used couchsurfing.com yet. My couch surfing experience comes more from mutual friends and people I met while traveling. I have been lucky enough to be given comfy couches when in need and am happy to now have my own apartment in downtown Portland to share with the right people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For six months I did an Americorps term with the Utah Conservation Corps, where I worked to help conserve Utah's national parks and forests. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I got paid to travel throughout the beautiful state of Utah. I got to go backcountry in the desert and the northern mountains. Every person there was beyond friendly and I consider them all some of my closest friends.
