About Me

I started traveling through South America in November 2018. It was supposed to be a 3-6 month trip...but well, life is what happens while we are busy making plans! So it turned out to be a whole new chapter of my life and I found a second home in the Sacred Valley of Peru, close to Cusco, where I have lived now for 5 years. I am completely in love with the Latin America culture, nature and its people and have had the opportunity to travel extensively throught Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brasil, Paraguay and obviously Peru. From immersing myself into the Amazon Rainforest for a month, without phone signal and electricity (absolute best gift I have ever given myself!!!), to living at the beachfront for 2 month, to an 8000km roadtrip living in a rooftop tent! Life is such an immensly beautiful gift! I am not always successful at it, but at least I am trying my best in writing / rewriting my story and filling all these blank pages of my book called life with life! And authentic one, finding my way back home to myself! Sooo this said, small talk is not really my think :D but I love honest, real, deep conversations and good laughter as well! That´s why I love the idea of Couchsurfing, even though I haven´t used it that much in the past! Mainly because of the possibility to connect with locals who live in the place you visit and connect on a deeper level than just being a "tourist".

To share some bits of all the teachings that South America has given me in those last years, I work in Peru with different NGO in educational projects, in experiential travel programs and teach English. Besides that I study to be a nutrionist and Yoga teacher.

Having grown up on a farm in rural East Germany, I have always been connected to the earth and outdoors. So whenever there is time, I spend it in nature, especially the mountains, exploring our beautiful mother earth.

Otherwise you can find me either on my yoga mat ,playing board games, petting some dogs or somewhere with a cup of cacao and a plate full of homemade food absorbed in a deep conversation about life.

Want to share some of those moments with me?! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always the first one volunteering for cooking as i love good food and connections made in the kitchen. Not sure why, but kitchen talks always turn out to be the best. Or the ones while making popcorn ;)

As I am an English and German teacher, i can help you out with either useful or funny phrases (your choice ;) to impress your counterpart in your next small talk!

And everyone is always more than welcome to join my morning practice including some Yoga and meditation!
