About Me

CURRENT MISSION

nothing less than finding the sense of live!

ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe yourself, but apparently different sources say different things:

My CV says: organised, focused, structured and of course hard working :-P
My parents say: chaotic, dreamy and possibly the exact opposite of what my CV says (potential employers: please ignore this, parents are biased)
My friends (hopefully) say: reliable, sincere, loving, but sometimes stubborn and moody
My horoscope says: optimistic, straightforward, honest, intellectual and philosophical
And I say: find out yourself, obviously I can be anything ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Everything and everyone in your life happens for a reason, even if not obvious at first side.

There are no wrong decisions.

On a more practical level I try to live thoughtful and considerate regarding people, nature and environment. (well I try..) I'm constantly searching for alternative ways of living.
..and for a new direction in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

hosting, surfing, showing around

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a lot of friends before even knowing about couchsurfing.
In 2011 I traveled through Ireland via Couchsurfing and it was the greatest time ever.

Interests

Music in any kind, going to concerts, exploring new bands.. My main passion is drumming. I played Samba for a couple of years, try to learn the drum kit, play pandeiro and any other thing that can be abused for percussion.

I try to be in nature as much as I can and I have a master in "Unsuccessful Herbalism on the Balcony". (only the sunflowers survived)

Books are great for escaping the world (such as films, but books can be better).

Another great escape are museums, preferably about ancient times and I tend to read every single description, even if it takes hours.

A few other hobbies I like: ice skating (watching on TV and doing), playing poy, knitting, exploring old abandoned houses in the countryside (lots to be found in Saxony), ballet, and I'm still dreaming of becoming the world's best drummer (but as with the ballet career, I might have to postpone this to the next life) :-D

Of course I love being with friends, and I have a little extra interest in tarot and astrology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: rock, metal, emocore, punkrock, alternative, folkpunk, but also singer-songwriter, goa, 60s, folk

Films: a good film can be of any genre, as long as its well told, it's often depending on the mood what I am up for

Books: any interesting story, be it fiction or authentic stuff, but especially science fiction and mystic stories.
on the rather "serious" side: sociological stuff (especially gender, women, culture, and all that)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I did was gliding (in such an airplane with no motor), it really felt like spreading my arms and flying like a bird, with no machine noise, just the wind and the sky, and the ground slowly coming closer..

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn some Irish..

Countries I’ve Visited

Ireland, United Kingdom
