Overview
About Me
Originally from Northern Ireland, I'm a journalist who's spent most of the last five years living in Spain, both Madrid and Barcelona. I'm fluent in Spanish and I love Spanish and Latin-American culture and food. I'm also really into sports, travelling and politics. I'd consider myself really easy-going and think I could get along with practically anyone. I also love to cook!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and my girlfriend Megan, who's from Belfast, are embarking on a trip across Colombia and Central America between January and April and we thought it would be a cool way to meet people from the places we'd be travelling through. Having watched a few travel vlogs and from what we've heard first-hand from friends it can give you a better experience in the place where you're travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tough one...I'd say probably running a marathon in Madrid 2016, to go through so much training and effort for months and to finally cross the finish line after 42k was a surreal experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fluent in Spanish and English, I've also been an English teacher before. I studied a degree in English Literature and Linguistics and I'm currently in the middle of an NCTJ to become fully accredited as a journalist in the UK.
