About Me
Hi!
We're Conor and Hannah, we're a 30s couple living in Birmingham, England. I (Conor) work as a Paramedic and Hannah is a manager at the supermarket ALDI's head office. We're currently renovating our house which includes a spare room, with the intention of providing it as a possible lodging for lovely Couchsurfers in the area. Hannah has previous experience on Couchsurfing in her 20s, got some amazing stories and had a great time.
We're both a bit on the "alternative side", both vegan, enjoy loud shouty music...
We love live music and checking out the local brewery/taproom.
Regarding the veganism, as Hosts we do ask that guests respect our beliefs are not bring in animal products to the house (meat, fish, dairy, etc). We are however more than happy to share our food with you :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are both strong believers in solidarity and looking after one another. We see no reason as to why traveling (and particularly the lodging side of things) should cost the fortune that businesses and individuals ask for these days. How are people supposed to "broaden their minds" without a massive chunk of savings? With solidarity in mind we look forward to paying the way forward to our hosts by welcoming guests ourselves and the odd couple of local beers for our hosts!

Music, Movies, and Books
I (Conor) love punk music whereas Hannah has the worst taste in music known to man (her words). She does however pride herself on being in the top 0.1% of Bo Burnham listeners on 2023 Spotify Wrapped whereas the year before it was Harry Styles!
We both enjoy movies, reading and watching TV. Currently watching Dexter for the 100th time! Love a gig and a brewery, and going to watch some ice hockey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conor lived in China for 4 years while teaching English. Hannah's highlight of her previous time couchsurfing was sleeping in a tent on the balcony of a host in Florence and sleeping on a blow up bed in a tree house in the US!
