About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Unconventional living

ABOUT ME

Hi!

About me: Easygoing 26 year-old Canadian dude with a grand plan to conquer the world, one country at a time. Quit my 9-5 gig in October to travel the world, write, and hopefully figure out a way to make money from my laptop so I can do this for the rest of my life!

Looking to meet: anyone and everyone, but most especially other writers, entrepreneurs, unconventional career-ists. My favourite type of person: Nerd by day, sex, drugs and rock and roll by night.

PHILOSOPHY

Not religious. I pretty much spent my first quarter century chasing the dream of a good education, job, etc, but have realized life should be more than X dollars a year. So, having ruled out the one path I've tried, I'm looking for a new one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Probably not looking to host in the near future as I'm on the road. Mostly looking to expose myself to fun, interesting people by any means necessary.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through the website, but I've surfed a couch or two in my day.

Interests

Writing, reading, yoga, meditation, rock climbing, surfing, swimming, muay thai, meeting new people, embarrassing myself with local languages, plotting ways to keep traveling while my bank account dwindles...

Music, Movies, and Books

Read everything and everyone. Love finding scary new ideas. Music, whatever's still on my iPod from 2006. Movies, whatever's on the plane.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Surviving six months on a scooter in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos
- Spending a month at an Ashram in Rishikesh, India
- Hunting through the markets of Old Delhi for a camera battery charger (chaos!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Judge people on what they do, not what they say. Fortunes are made by those who buy when there's blood in the streets. People are generally good.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Laos, Netherlands, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Thailand
