Host and surf, but I don't take part in events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic, it changes the way I travel completely and opens up so many opportunities. I really can't express how much fun I've had both hosting and surfing.

As far as hosting goes, here's a beautifully written piece by one of former surfers that does a pretty good job of summing it up.

Rock music - Dylan, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Sufjan Stevens, Fleet Foxes, Flaming Lips, The National, QotSA, Primus, Elliot Smith, Stones, Beatles, etc...

Movies like Dead Man, Brick, No Country For Old Men/Burn After Reading, Rushmore and less fancy-pants movies like Anchorman and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. Kind of obsessed with Inception.

My favourite writer of all time is Daniil Kharms but I like many, many more, including but not limited to Oscar Wilde, Milan Kundera, Voltaire, and, oh God, Douglas Adams.

I love video games. Favourite game is Smash Bros. If you think you can beat me at Smash Bros you can basically stay here as long as you feel like.
But you can't.

I touched Eddie Vedder. And I've circumnavigated the world. And I drove a convertible BMW from 1988 across North America with my friend - 8,500 miles in 2 months. Once ate 6 Big Macs in an hour.
