About Me

I'm an easy going guy and always up for making friends and am pretty easy to get along with!

Born in London but raised and living the vast majority of my life in Dublin. Discovered the joys of solo travel a few years back and have been stuck with the travel bug ever since, taking every opportunity I can to go to new places and meeting plenty of new friends. Love the adventure of travelling which was inherited from my Dad who travelled extensively years ago and has a lot of crazy stories to tell from it. My aim is to see the whole world or die trying!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't currently host people but absolutely more then willing to meet up with people visiting my city and showing them around to the less well known sights as well as all the obvious ones and of course take folks out to see the nightlife.

I'd be looking for the same thing when I'm away as well. I've not stayed with anyone yet but my main focus would be to meet locals and get their view of their hometown and maybe go out for a few drinks and take in some of the nightlife!

Interests

I'm a computer/tech nerd so anything in that area really! Aside from that I absolutely love music and particularly going to gigs and festivals at home and abroad, both small and big. I'm also a big film fan, and you can usually find me in the cinema.

And more than anything else, going out with friends and just having the craic in the pub or elsewhere!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll give any and all music a chance but my favourite genre would be rock and metal and their sub-genres plus a good chunk of the new stuff too.

Movies-wise I wouldn't be especially into any one genre, enjoying any well made movie really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As cliched as this may sound, stepping outside my comfort zone and taking that first step of travelling by myself, and staying in hostel dorms and meeting people. After doing this, it's changed me by forcing me to come out of my shell and shedding a lot of the shyness I would have had previously when meeting new people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always help people practice their English, both written and spoken and I can also teach people a little bit of Gaeilge or Irish. And if you need any tech advice, I'm happy to oblige.

I'm always open to learning new things regardless of topic. My language skills aren't great but I'll always try my best to learn new languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a decent meal, and I have no problem cleaning up. I'm very low maintenance and always clean up after myself, never leaving a trace.

I'll always pay back others' generosity at least equally in whatever way I can.
