About Me

Adventurous soul and open-minded individual. Always seeking new travel experiences and occasionally able to afford them. Meeting new people in a new place is a thrill for me, and I will try most anything once.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stayed with a surfer for the first time in San Luis Opisbo during a summer 2013 road trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. My host was so kind, accommodating and generous with his time and recommendations. It was such a positive experience that I started hosting myself and tried to stay with a surfer every time I went on a big trip. It's led to some of my most memorable travel experiences and friendships. I'm so happy this big wacky community exists.

Interests

I like to absorb the culture, scenery and personality of the places I visit. The best way that I've found to do that is by exploring it with and learning from the people who live there and know it best.

I'm really fascinated by urban design and infrastructure, especially when seeing a city for the first time. I tend to gravitate towards green spaces and bike lanes if they're there!

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore music, film, books, and art in all its forms and genres. Lately I've been on a sci-fi movie binge and I've been trying (and mostly failing) to listen to the entire Yo La Tengo discography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Accidentally climbed a treacherous mountain in Wales and lived to tell the tale!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've lived in Boston for over a decade, so I can do a pretty good job of local tour guide. My favorite way to explore the city and its surrounding areas is by foot or bike, so if that sounds interesting to you I would love to show you around! I really enjoy sharing meals with surfers too.

Countries I’ve Visited
