About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit the world outside my hometown and learn how other people live, enjoy different types of food, and meet others who can't get enough of the great addiction of travel!

ABOUT ME

Hi. I'm Adam, fan of music, robots, and exploring the world. If I were an animal, I'd be a tiger. I've lived in Houston all my life, but have a love for Spain because my dad was born there, and the UK because they just rock!

PHILOSOPHY

Life may be finite, but forget about that and live it at your own pace.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can provide advice to people who want to visit or live in Houston, and occasionally may be able to host people as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to Couchsurfing, but I've used Airbnb and have had the honor of sleeping on couches before, if that counts!

Interests

-Music, especially of the British variety but I also enjoy artists as diverse as Of Montreal, Grimes, and Soda Stereo
-City life, after growing up in a suburb it is great to be in a place with so many people around, many small businesses, and meeting places you can walk to
-Country life, having relatives who own a ranch, it is in a different way great to come home to nature in your backyard, have space to care for animals and grow food
-Cooking, knowing where your food comes from, and experimentation with new recipes
-Making videos, like the funny parodies the neighbors and I made as kids, and now dipping into more professional work such as weddings
-Real estate and urban renewal
-Engineering stuff, making robots in college, keeping up with the latest technology

Teach, Learn, Share

At least in Houston, many areas close to urban core are poor and neglected, while others which were once affordable are now too expensive for many people. This has been a source of complaining recently, but imagine the potential if those complainers all came together to form their own community or strengthen an existing community in those areas! This logic can apply to a lot of other things in life, as well.
