Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was first introduced to Couchsurfing while living in Thailand. I hosted a few people and was fascinated by their travel stories and adventurous spirit. Subsequently, I used Couchsurfing in China, Venezuela and USA. It is tough travelling on South African currency, so, as a poor teacher, Couchsurfing allows me to kill 2 birds with one stone - I get to meet wonderful people, hear their stories, learn their culture, AND save a few pennies. Win-win.

My interests involve sailing, travelling, riding motorbikes and SCUBA diving.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading mostly thrillers or classics, but will read anything interesting and well written. Busy reading Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. Next on my list is To Kill A Mockingbird.
