ABOUT ME

Of course I try to be a funny, smart and cool guy but I guess almost everyone would claim these attributes. I think I'm just a guy who wants to spend a good time, exchanging experience and listenting to intresting stories. One of my big dreams is to see the world in order to understand how life does work in different countries and cultures. So on the one hand I would love to welcome you in my new hometown Cologne where I live and study. But on the other hand I hope I can demand your couch for a couple of days when Iâ

Since I just created my account I didn't gain any experience using CouchSurfing until now.

Interests

When I'm not busy with my study of medicine I like to spend some time with my friends, cooking a small meal, playing some games and having a good conversation. In summer I like to relax in a park or at a lake around Cologne. I love to travel and I can't wait to start my next tour.

Music, Movies, and Books

I guess my favourite writer is Hermann Hesse. I love his style of writing and I thinkt he deals with very interesting issues.

Some of my favourite movies are: as in heaven, fight club, little miss sunshine, babel, inception, untouchable, boy a, finding nemo and the big lebowski etc.

Some of my favourite musicians are: ayo, the whitest boy alive, kings of convenience, raul midon, adele, the xx, booka shade, thom yorke, ray charles etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, on my way back from India to Germany I spend some time in a small town called Aralsk, near the Aral See. 30 years ago the village was right next to the coastline of the biggest lake in the world but because of intensive watering of huge cotton plantations during the time of Soviet Union the lake lost a lot of water. Today the coastline has moved over 60 km and as me and my friend arrived there were only rosted docks and a few ships left. On the next day we tried to get to the lake to take a swim and to relax at the beach but that was not possible. We went to the lokal busstation to catch a bus to a new small village at the lake but I guess there was a missunderstanding and so we caught the wrong one. 10 minutes after we left Aralsk the bus stopped and the driver signalises that we have to get out. But there was no lake and no houses. A little bit confused we got out and the bus drove away. We were lost. No people, no houses, no beach, nothing. There was just us and the road and so we decided to go back to our hotel in Aralsk. Fortunately I car came buy five minutes later and we were very excited. My friend opend the door of the big jeep. He said: "Cons, there is a cow." I just said: "What" and he answered: "Yes man, there is a big cow in the jeep, bound but alive." Before we could decide what to do, we went in the jeep and try to find a place which was not covered with cowshit. The driver gave us a short nod and took off. I guess he was a former race driver or something because he drove like there were no tomorrow and my friend, the cow and me were really afraid. After a short time the cow freed herself from the rope and started to cick us with her strong hooves. We had no chance to get away and so we had to deal with some strong hits. First we tried to calm her down with noises but it didn't work and with the next strong hit I fell off my seat into the shit. What a mess! We had to get out of the car as soon as we can. We shouted: "Stop, stop and the driver gave us a astonished look and stopped. We got out of the jeep and walked the last two kilometers to the hotel. After that day we just wanted to leave the dusty village to relax somewhere else but I'm sure I will never forget what happend on that day.
