About Me

MY PHILOSOPHY

The Philosophy closest to my heart is the Tao, I believe everything is connected, everything is in constant movement and the only permanent aspect of the Universe is change itself. We all change continually according to which role we are currently playing in the Spectacle of Life.

Meditation (breath) is the best tool I found to bring me closer to the Truth ("Reality"), to being present here and now, experiencing life to the fullest and through the Micro-verse inside, learning about the Macro-verse outside.

"I know that I know nothing." - Socrates

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." - Shakespeare

"A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving." - Lao Tzu

"Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth." - Alan Watts

"I love love and I love to love love..." - Charles Esten

ABOUT ME

I am the mighty Ace of Spades, I come gluten free.

I have been travelling the World on my own since I was 14 years old, I am a vagabond/nomad by nature. I never use travel guides, I prefer to ask the locals what they find interesting. I usually travel slow (try to avoid flying), often taking days, weeks, months or even years in some cases to try to truly understand and feel a place i'm exploring.

Nature is the habitat of my specie. I love connecting with it in various ways, by seeing, listening, feeling it... You can usually find me somewhere in the forest, near a waterfall, by a river, in a lake, in a natural hot spring, on a mountain top or by the sea. Wherever I go, those would always be the kind of places I look for, the more remote and serene, the better.

If I'm in a city, people are always the most important factor - trying to understand the locals and see the World through their eyes can be a truly remarkable and mind opening experience. I always enjoy exploring amazing and bizarre architecture (old churches, abandoned buildings, rooftops with an awesome view), visiting contemporary art galleries, going to live music shows, enjoying street art and street performances, other activities that might be unique to a particular place and trying local food. I am also drugs and dancing friendly - there is no bad place for a dance (nor for a doobie).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet likeminded people willing to grow and experience joy of life together

I've met some really amazing, open minded, kind hearted people here who made my travels into an experience of a lifetime. More than that, some of them made me feel like part of their family, some of them made me even feel at home. There's nothing more a nomad can ask for.

I try to do the same whenever I'm able, so welcome, feel at home and remember you're never alone. Contact me if you feel like I can help you in any way, I'll be more than happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Peanut Butter and Jelly...

Come on, I've been to more than 60 countries and I've had 5 lifetimes worth of adventures (and probably took as many photos)... And now, I'm addicted to having fun, help...

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing is great, i think it's one of the most amazing human experiences there is.
Being more than oneself is pretty much a metaphysical experience, if you allow it to be.

I love to learn, I consider myself a jack of many traits (and a master of some). I have been studying various topics throughout my life and I am always happy to find new teachers. I went to University for Philosophy and Social Psychology (didn't finish either), I've been studying art (painting and drawing), photography, music, herbalism, shiatsu, Bates method, Tai Chi, Qi-Gong (meditation) and Yoga just to name a few.

I aspire to constantly grow as a human being, I am always happy to take part in various projects like self sustainable living, building, landscaping, working with plants, working with animals. Money is never the deciding factor, it's the people and the idea they share.

I've been studying languages all my life and one of my favourite ones is music, hence I'm always happy to hear you play, jam and learn something new.
I used to play a didgeridoo, now mostly guitar, some piano and a bit of singing.

I'm up for trying local food and drinks, I also enjoy cooking, so if you feel like making a meal together (showing me how to make something local), I'm always down.

Stay open, love and respect yourself and channel that to influence people around you. A bit of kindness goes a long way.
