About Me

CURRENT MISSION

traveling the world

ABOUT ME

I grew up in northern Germany in a small town by the baltic sea. Already as a child I was traveling a lot around Europe with my family and later on alone. I always felt that I was made for traveling and in September 2016 I finally started my big journey, starting in Australia, planning to go to New Zealand next, then Asia, South America, and so on and so on. I won't stop until I saw the world, so probably never :D

PHILOSOPHY

Fear does not prevent death, it prevents life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Back in Germany, when I still had a home ^^, I used to host couchsurfers, which I am planning to do again should I ever have a permanent residence again. Right now I am participating in Couchsurfing as a Surfer and hope to meet as many people all over the world as possible, because I think this is a unique and authentic way to get to know the people, the culture and the lifestyle of a community.

I am open to share with you my stories and experiences about traveling and everything else I know and believe - if you want to hear it ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a lot of amazing people by couchsurfing. People that believe in the philosophy of this community, that is to help each other out in every way they can without expecting anything back for it. Couchsurfing benefits both sides, the host as well as the surfer, because by helping each other you receive so much back in return. I love this concept and try to transfer it to every aspect of my life.

I don't understand people, who hide secret codes in their profile which you have to read first and then use in your request, this is an ego problem and it is not what couchsurfing is about. If a surfer sends you a request, it is because he needs your help, regardless if he studies your profile first or not. If you expect someone to be that interested in you before you even meet, it is like forcing the surfer to pay you with attention. Nothing good ever comes out of forcing somebody to do something.

I hope that in the future we see more of people, who share the concept of giving without wanting back. If you give from your heart, you will get back double automatically, you don't have to force it. I hope to contribute to this concept by Couchsurfing, wheter it is as a host or as a surfer. If we used this concept in all aspects of our lifes, we can make this world a better place :)
