ABOUT ME

Greetings couchsufers!

My name is Lowell and I'm currently studying Tibetan and Buddhist philosophy in Bodhnath - a primarily Tibetan area of Kathmandu, Nepal.

I've been using CS since the summer of 2007 and have had many positive experiences.

I try to live like a crisp autumn leaf, floating down a stream.

PHILOSOPHY

"No one behind, no one ahead.
The path the ancients cleared has closed.
And the other path, everyone's path,
Easy and wide, goes nowhere.
I am alone and find my way."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Creating ripples in the CouchSurfing pond.

We live in a globally connected world that is growing smaller and smaller every day. CouchSurfing is one these tools for us to create a positive global community and culture. It is becoming the new "watering hole" for like minded travelers. I'm honored to provide a bed for weary travelers and connect with global citizens.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience with CouchSurfing in the Summer of 2007 in Boston. A few surfed couches later we began hosting a good number of surfers in Prague. Now I'm living in Nepal and have a space to host surfers.

Interests

My current interests tend around language, Buddhism, travel and issues of translation. It goes without saying that travel is one of my big interests.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH

I've had some experience teaching English in the Czech Republic and enjoy helping people improve their English or discuss interesting grammar topics.

LEARN

Right now I am trying to learn spoken and classical Tibetan. Also I'm interesting in learning more Mandarin and improving my Czech.

Otherwise I always enjoy learning interesting facts about different cultures, religions, languages, etc.

SHARE
