Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just moved to the Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach County area for a new job. It is certainly MASSIVE and I'm excited at the adventure which lay before me. Couchsurfing will not only provide somewhat of an adventure - it will also feed my need to meet new people.

Interests

You name it - I'm pretty much interested.

I certainly enjoy talking about light subject matter - sports, hobbies, TV, movies, etc. I also like talking politics....I'm quite skilled at it.

I'm a history nerd. I'm not a comic-con cos-play kind of person, but I like many of the stories which that culture is rooted in.

I'm fascinated by "space stuff"!! I'd say that's a good start :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like ALL kinds of music, but I'll be honest and say that Pop and Dance is probably what I choose to listen to most of all. It's just bubbly, happy sounding crap, I know - but I don't often like to get cerebral with my music - at least not in my day to day life.

War movies - my thang. Also any movie that makes you think. Comedies, of course.

Books - I don't read fiction much at all. Primarily non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've saved someone who fell off my raft during a white-water trip down the Colorado River. I was pretty young - don't remember a lot, but the way it's been told through the years - I probably saved the guy's life (again, according to what I've been told)
