G'day! I'm Cooper, a 26 year old Australian who has been living in the United States for the past 5 years. I spent 2 years running on the Louisiana Tech University Track & Field and Cross Country teams, and have spent the past 3 years working as a Construction Engineer on low income/affordable housing developments in Denver, Colorado. I recently backpacked in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia and had an incredible time. I made some lifelong friends with locals and travelers along the way, and I hope to do the same in other parts of the world.

I'm leaving my job to solo travel Europe and South-East Asia this year, and can't wait to share experiences with new people along the way. I'll be making my way back to live in my hometown of Sydney, where I hope to make a couch available for travelers as soon as I've settled in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly believe that sharing experiences and making friends with locals is the best part of traveling! I want to skip the fancy hotels and tourist traps and learn about the places I'm in with the people that live there. I'm also on a shoestring budget (and enjoy traveling that way!!), so any assistance with accommodation is massively helpful.

Huge fan of indie/rock music, particularly from Australia! I love Sticky Fingers, Ocean Alley, Gang of Youths, Spacey Jane, DMAs, The Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party.

I'm also into electronic music, mostly House/Tech House, and have hosted a mini-festival in Colorado with my friends for 3 years running before I left.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snuck into the VIP section of the 2022 Superbowl without a ticket! Unlimited free food and drinks and sideline views for the biggest event in the US... best day ever.
