About Me

Hi there! I'm an adventurous soul with a love for new experiences, meaningful conversations, and making connections across the globe. I’ve worn many hats over the years, from being a chef to a disability support worker, and now I’m diving headfirst into the world of IT while studying for a Certificate IV.

I have a background in maritime life, having spent time on cruise ships and working aboard a vessel in the stunning Kimberley region of Australia. Those experiences shaped my love for the sea, storytelling, and finding beauty in the unexpected.

When I’m not busy with work or study, you can find me exploring the outdoors, mountain biking, or planning my next adventure (currently dreaming of a road trip in Tasmania). I also enjoy learning about different cultures, trying new cuisines, and sharing my own stories around the dinner table.

You’ll notice I’ve shared some photos on my profile—each one has its own story, so feel free to ask me about them!

I believe Couchsurfing is about more than just a free place to stay—it’s about building connections, sharing kindness, and discovering the world through the eyes of locals.

Let’s exchange stories, laughs, and maybe a meal or two. I look forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with like-minded adventurers, experience places through the eyes of locals, and share stories that create lasting memories. For me, travel is about more than just sightseeing—it’s about forging genuine connections, exchanging cultures, and making the world feel a little smaller. Whether it’s over a cup of coffee, a shared meal, or a stroll around town, I love the idea of learning from others and creating meaningful moments along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 2023 working aboard a vessel called the Odyssey in the breathtaking Kimberley region of Western Australia. From navigating stunning waterways to witnessing the awe-inspiring Montgomery Reef, it was an unforgettable adventure that deepened my love for the sea and the natural world. Ask me about the tenders we towed—I’ve got some great stories!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories from my adventures—whether it’s life at sea aboard cruise ships or exploring the rugged Kimberley region of Australia. I can also whip up a tasty meal (thanks to my years as a chef!) or lend a hand with anything practical. If you’re into tech, I’m happy to chat about IT and networking, as I’m diving into that world through my studies. Most importantly, I bring a friendly, easygoing attitude and a genuine appreciation for connecting with new people.
