I want to get away from my desk job and travel to remote parts of the world, wherever there are mountains to climb and roads untravelled.

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone, I'm an active outdoor person who loves adventurous travel experiences. My main passion is mountains, and I love trekking and climbing to high altitude. I also love cycle touring as a great way of exploring the world, staying fit, and going to far away places and meeting amazing people and experiencing new cultures.

I like to inspire people to enjoy the world's wild places and I often take people camping and hiking in the Blue Mountains near Sydney.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once. Don't waste your time. Get out there and see the world. Forget the monotony of sedentary western life and do something real.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like introducing people to the beautiful wilderness areas around Sydney and the Blue Mountains. I can take travelers hiking in places they would not otherwise have the opportunity to visit - places away from all the main tourist traps.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my bike from Rome to the northern tip of Norway and back to London in 1996, a distance of 13000km.
