ABOUT ME

Hi!
I'm Jacopo but since I was a kid everybody calls me Copons.

I live in Rome and I love it, even if is full of contradiction and doesn't offer quite anything related to my interests.
I feel I should live in New York or London or maybe Tokyo, but I was born here, I grew up here and in the end I (but anyone else, I think) inevitably felt in love with my city.

I am quite a lazy guy when it comes to study or anything slightly boring. But I often tend to go out, or with friends or alone, exploring unknown places of Rome, taking pictures or sketches, or just listening to some good music with my inseparable headphones.

My job is usually really time-consuming, but luckily I can switch my work hours whenever I want, or even take some days off.
So I'll be happy to take my hosted surfers everywhere and everytime!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not the kind of person that has a personal philosophy as I always change abruptly my way of thinking.
Maybe my only philosophy (but I should call it "a simple way of life") is something like "try everything you can before it's too late", but just because I'm a bit paranoid of growing old with a lot of regrets and unaccomplished experiences.

Interesses

My biggest interest, pleasure and even reason of life is music.
I listen to it a lot, whenever I can. Mp3s, cds, vinyls, I don't care, I just avidly listen and listen and listen.
If a requesting surfer is a music-enthusiast like me, that would definitely be a huge plus.

My other interests are the old classic ones: reading books, reading comics, videogaming.

But as I'm an Internet user since I was a kid, i grew up as a fan of every weird bullshit coming out the web.
I'm talking about things like 4chan memes, and I swear to god, if a requesting surfer knows something like Rule 34, that would be an even huger plus than music! :D

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Ok, now, music is kinda difficult, so I try to list some of my favorites (and most known):
Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Blur, Nine Inch Nails, Daft Punk, The Replacements, Husker Du, Black Flag, Shellac, Common, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Refused, Liars, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr, Neu!, Pixies, Animal Collective, Sufjan Stevens, Nirvana, Neil Young, The Smashing Pumpkins, cLOUDDEAD, Wilco, and too many more...

I'm not a big movies fan, but I really love David Lynch, Michel Gondry, Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Kevin Smith, David Fincher and, above all, Pixar. I totally love Pixar.

I once used to read a lot, but now I'm a little too busy and so I prefer some faster entertainments like tv series. But in order:

Books: aside Italian writers, I love people like Carver, Hornby, Lansdale, Dick, King, Tolkien of course, Ende, Adams, Wallace, and so on.

Comics: i love graphic novels like 300, From Hell, Watchmen, Sandman (in some way is a graphic novel), Maus, the Clowes' ones, and so on. But my favorite author is definitely Naoki Urasawa (Monster, 20th Century Boys, Pluto).

TV Series: Twin Peaks, Lost (of course...), The Wire, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, The Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica and many many more.
