About Me
****Currently traveling around Barranquilla, Santa Marta, & Minca, Colombia*******
CURRENT MISSION
Be free while I'm young. Listen to others ideas, question conventional thinking, live sustainably, do good.
ABOUT ME
As soon as I graduated University in 2015 I had to get out of Minnesota. I have learned so much from talking to people and pushing my comfort zone. I have spent a summer living in a mountain village without electricity in Honduras, three years studying abroad in Spain, three fall university semesters canoeing and camping down the Mississippi River, a spring working as a bartender in Ecuador, and a summer working as a food manager on a sailboat fleet in the Caribbean, a year studying in Bologna Italy, and a Carnival in Rio de Janiero.
I mostly work as a wilderness guide and love being outdoors. I am passionate about social justice campaigns, and try to get involved wherever I am living. Right now I am working remotely for a Women's Conservation organization in Colombia and traveling intermittently out of my current home base in New York City.
PHILOSOPHY
The most interesting people you will meet are a little bit crazy. Intersectional Environmental Justice, Critical Race Theory, and Queer theory are my obsessions. Kindness and generosity are what I practice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I cannot host people at the moment because I am traveling. I've met some amazing people through being a guest, and right now just want to use couchsurfing to meet locals while I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 2 months living in a cave in Granada, Spain. We were experimenting with living outside of the capitalist system, in a way that was environmentally sustainable, rejects consumerism, and puts people before money.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH
I like to cook for people. I can talk about academic theories and have great intellectual conversations around many topics. I also can help people practice their English.
LEARN
I love talking to people from different places because I love learning others perspectives and ideas. I have notebooks full of interesting ideas that I have heard from people I've met. I am also trying to figure out what I want to do and who I want to be when I grow up, and talking to people about their lives is the best way for me to figure that out.
SHARE
I love getting drinks and sharing ideas and stories with others more than anything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation and a home cooked meal :)
