Hello!
I'm a classical viola player and my music studies have given me amazing opportunities to travel all over the world over the last few years. Other than playing lots of music all the time I love making new friends, trying to get my head around different cultures, being in nature, seeing live music, hiking, knitting and just hanging out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The trip I'm currently planning is the first time I've really travelled alone so I want to be able to make a few friends and have someone to share a meal or a drink with. I'm also trying to do the trip on a tiny budget and am keen to return the favour back home to anyone who can host me as I totally understand how much everything adds up on a big trip!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I went to Samoa for a few weeks to tutor the National Orchestra of Samoa. It was a really wholesome experience. The orchestra has pretty limited resources to play classical music but they are so passionate about it and were so overwhelmingly grateful for the guidance from my group. It gave me a lot of perspective about the career path I've chosen and helped me to stop being so obsessed and competitive and to keep my love of music as my main focus.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to be able to teach anyone about music especially if you're interested in classical music or string instruments. I also would love to teach people how to knit! Or help you out with any knitting projects.
I'm trying to get some very basic German skills before I go overseas but it would be great if I can learn a little bit of German on the trip from a host.
