I've travelled a lot and always stayed at hostels but I guess I'm done with meeting the same people over and over again - much more interesting to get to know local people, and hopefully give back the same courtesy, once I get a bigger place back in Berlin! ;)

Other than that I love The Tin Drum, all Liv Strömqvist graphic novels and recently really liked Sylvia Plath's Bell Jar.
