About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It's not the goal but the path that matters (not very original, but true).. hypnotherapist.

ABOUT ME
I'll gladly cook you dinner on your arrival. But if you'd rather go out by yourself and that you don't need to share a diner, that's perfectly fine.
Send me a personalised request please.

I'm really not comfortable with a self portrait.

I'm a free lance sound designer. Got my first contract a few days ago (in sept. 2015)!!! And I'm a musician and music teacher too. I used to play a lot of music, being a preprofessionnal lyric singer, unfortunately I had to stop a few years ago. I took up sound art and sound design studies in France and Belfast, and came back to France after a Phd semester at Virginia Tech. I came back to France to work and life lead me to Strasbourg where I met the farher of my son who was born in 2019. I became a hypnotherapist. We are separated now and my son lives with me half the time.

My temper and behaviour depend on the people I'm with, but I'm rather calm. I can be introverted or extrovert, it really depends on the context.

A vegetarian who yet loves meat and fish. So it's just a matter of ethics and diet.

When US-ers say "awesome", the french say "not too bad". I'd say I try and be a decent human being, and that I'm not perfect. Yet, all the people I meet say I'm the nicest, most amazing and fascinating person in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll have one when I'm at the end of my life, maybe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just bought a flat here. Not really ready to host as I'd like, but I can give a hand from time to time. I love cooking, and hosting people is a pleasure, but I'm not into couchsurfing as much as people who host every week. I have been moving and traveling a lot I thought I would be settling down, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I was hosted a lot of time, and couldn't always do it myself. I hope I can return the favor! If you want someone to show you around, it's ok, if not, it's ok too. If you enjoy things I know nothing about, I'll be curious.

My only vice is maybe talking about politics, but it's not necessarily a vice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I can only be grateful to my hosts, who all were kind hearted, open, and who always contributed to enriching my experience of life.
I couchsurfed a lot in the US when I was visiting to get a place to live, and all the people who hosted me were genuinely good people.

Interests

Well it's in the all about you section, no? I like art, movies, travelling, languages, and having the possibility to have a natural way of living.
I have taught music as a private music teacher. It's nice to see them progress and enjoy learning, especially children because when you take them as beginners, they are still very receptive, curious and willing to do wel
I tend to work too much, but I love what I do. I hope I have time to start reading more and maybe get more into visual arts, like photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too hard to make a list. Classics and especially 30s to 70's cinema (french, english, italian, US) but it's really too narrow. Spying movies, experimental, thrillers, spaghetti westerns, comedies… I like Sidney Lumet a lot I must say. Music : oh it's too hard. Maybe everything but dark or hardcore and country. A strong preference for soul, funk, jazz, impro, trad (irish) some punk, experimental (that's my part) pop… I must say I have a weakness for 60's british rock and pop in general (I think Ray Davies is a genius that will one day be completely acknowledged by everyone). And as a musician, I got to grow and evolve with classic, early and contemporary music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singing as a mezzo soprano with an early music orchestra at the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino. Travelling in Russia and going in places where tourists don't go. Driving on a mountain route in Sardegna that we should have known was about to crumble. Tickling fishes. Being a child was also a unique experience, and I hope I were able to look at life like kids, but as I am (I think) normally grown up, it will never happen again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be too busy for that, sorry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now, really too busy to offer a lot. You'll get a breakfast :-)
