Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To adventure far and wide, with my camera by my side. To meet new and friendly people wherever I go. Practise kindness, thoughtfulness, and humility and you will not likely go wrong.
ABOUT ME
I'm from Canada. Born in Edmonton, Alberta - grew up in Calgary, Alberta eventually moved to Caledon, Ontario and now live in the west end of downtown Toronto.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a friendly guy who normally does nice things for other people and hope that karma (or what ever you wish to call it) will eventually bring that kind act back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2009 I was using CouchSurfing as a resource to meet interesting and friendly people across Canada as part of a project I was working on focusing on collecting stories from different individuals, families and communities across Canada.
Since then, I got caught up in the life of a graduate student (though I made it out to a few couch surfing events in Waterloo, Ontario.)
I'm finally getting around to updating my address to my location in Toronto.
Winter 2012 - I was travelling around South America with a fellow CouchSurfer for a much needed adventure. We stayed mostly in hostels, but met up with some great CouchSurfers along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My favourite music is when you can feel the excitement, joy, and passion of the performers. I love that you can see this in all musicians from different backgrounds and genres. There's something about putting your heart on the line in front of a crowd that I really admire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't imagine that much will ever compare to my 6-month documentary project that took me over 50,000 KM across Canada talking to people about what home means to them and investigating how their environment has influenced their lives.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm often too nervous to get into any discussions that relate to my academic background in media studies/cultural studies or in documentary media. For some reason I worry that it is self-indulgent. If I find that people are genuinely interested in such topics, I am always happy to share. That said, I am much more inclined to share compelling and interesting stories that I have been told throughout my travels.
Also, I always enjoy the challenge of introducing people to new music, visual art, or films that I think they would like once I learn what their interests are. :)
I almost always end up giving impromptu photography lessons to fellow travellers while I'm on the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
