About Me

Hello! My name is Cordelia and I will be starting a work and holiday visa in Australia after traveling through Singapore and Bali for a couple weeks. I recently spent the summer working in Yosemite National Park and before that I spent a year in New Zealand where I got my skydiving license

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've found that I get so much more from a place when I get to know locals. Couchsurfing seemed like a great way to do just that so here I am!

Interests

I enjoy adventurous eating, doing acroyoga on a bright sunny day, spinning poi, jumping out of planes, and having Muppet movie marathons.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy listening to Tribal trance, electronics, Motown, funk and blue grass. I'm currently really into Trampled by Turtles, Frank Zappa, Hilight Tribe, and Bootsy Collins/Parliament

Movies: Muppet Treasure Island, anything by John Waters (especially Female Trouble), The Wizard of Oz, Little Shop of Horrors, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Young Frankenstein, and my all time favorite Thankskilling

Books: Anything by David Sedaris, My Heart is an Idiot by Davy Rothbart, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Beloved, Irvine Welsh's series (Skag Boys, Trainspotting and Porno), The Handmaids Tale, Oryx and Crake, Portnoy's Complaint, the Color Purple, Conversations with the Dalai Llama, and White Oleander.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a certified skydiver and have jumped out of a plane by myself 48 times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have an endless supply of fun facts about animals and a collection of painfully cheesy jokes for first graders. I am always eager to learn about different backgrounds and cultures and am currently teaching myself Spanish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am adequate in the kitchen and enjoy cooking with other people. I am also always willing to help out with groceries and chores around the house.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, England, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, New Zealand, United States
